A Radhika Rao, 30+ YEARS IN VEDIC & MUNDANE ASTROLOGY
Has practiced Vedic astrology since 1994 and specializes in Mundane astrology — the same discipline the site is named for. Her academic background pairs an unusual mix of rigor and tradition: an MBA in Supply Chain Management from MIT-Pune, a Data Privacy credential as an IAPP CIPP/US-certified specialist, and a formal Jyotish education completed in 1993 through AICAS (the All India Council of Astrological Sciences) and the Institute of Astrology, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, New Delhi.
She published many research papers on various areas under the guidance of her Jyotish Guru Sh K.N. Rao, the founder of the Institute of Astrology at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan – Delhi Kendra now known as K N Rao Institute of Astrology and one of the most influential Vedic astrologers of the modern era — the teacher credited with taking Jyotish from a niche Indian practice to a globally studied discipline. Under Sh K N Rao's guidance, Radhika co-authored “Time-Tested Techniques of Mundane Astrology”, with late Sh. M.S. Mehta.
Beyond astrology, her career spans multiple corporate business roles in Astrospeak, Astroyogi, Indiatimes Shopping, and multiple positions at Tata Consultancy Services. From 1999 to 2016, she was a senior faculty at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan's New Delhi Kendra, teaching Ashtakvarga, Shadbala, Medhini (mundane) astrology, and predictive techniques etc. - and led a student research group studying mundane astrology's application to events like earthquakes and terrorism. She relocated from Delhi in 2016 to care for her parents, and has continued her research and teaching since, which is what Medhini Jyotish now carries online.
